Victim Story #22
I Lost $20,000 to the AI Agency Mastermind — My Story
I purchased and signed a contract with the AI Agency Mastermind on 04/17/2025, for a staggering $20,000 because I paid for the done-for-you package. The price tag made my stomach drop, but I took the leap anyway. I regrettably paid in full after being persuaded during their sales call—a conversation that left me feeling hopeful but that hope didn't last long.
Based on my experience, the program failed to deliver the “advanced strategies“ they promised. After gaining access to the materials on 04/18/2025, I spent the first week meticulously going through every module, coffee in hand, often late into the night. What I found was disappointing: content consisting of basic AI concepts like prompt engineering and simple ChatGPT instructions. This was all very basic information available through free resources. Their “proprietary“ AI content creation system appeared to be standard ChatGPT prompts that seemed no different than what beginners commonly use—nothing that justified the hefty price tag.
I felt my investment of $20K was for recycled, generic content. Sitting at my desk one afternoon, I started documenting specific instances where their material seemed familiar—too familiar. I compiled over 37 specific instances where the training materials closely resembled free content available on YouTube and public blogs. One example that particularly disappointed me was finding their “AI Marketing Strategy“ module that appeared nearly identical to information from OpenAI's public documentation, just with different branding and some color changes.
I would not recommend this program based on my experience. Between 05/2025 and 10/2025, I attempted to contact Wyatt and Carson about these concerns 16 times through email, Discord, and their “priority support“ channels without receiving substantive responses. The daily coaching calls that were promised were canceled 83% of the time during my first three months (according to the log I maintained), and when calls did occur, they were staffed by team members who seemed unable to address my specific questions. I'd block out an hour in my calendar each time, only to stare at a “canceled“ notification.
The Discord community, heavily promoted as a vibrant network of AI entrepreneurs, didn't meet my expectations. During my six months as a member, I observed the same 8-10 accounts responding to questions with what seemed like generic advice, while my specific questions remained unanswered. The response patterns from these accounts struck me as unusual—almost formulaic in nature.
After requesting a refund in 08/2025, I learned they were no longer using Stripe and Whop payment platforms. When I contacted these payment processors directly, I was informed that the program had been removed due to policy violations related to service representation. That revelation hit hard as I realized the extent of the situation.
