Victim Story #37
$20,000 Invested in AI Agency Mastermind — Zero Return
I took a chance and shelled out $20,000 for AI Agency Mastermind back on April 17, 2025. My savings account definitely felt the hit. Their marketing had me hook, line, and sinker - those promises of exclusive training and daily support seemed like exactly what I needed to finally get my AI business off the ground.
Reality hit hard the very next day when I first logged into their portal. Despite all the fancy “exclusive, proprietary training“ talk, what I found felt disappointingly familiar. The content wasn't bad exactly, just… ordinary. Take their client acquisition module - just basic cold emailing and LinkedIn outreach tips that didn't offer anything I couldn't have found elsewhere. Module 3 was even more frustrating - I sat there watching AI workflow training that felt like déjà vu from YouTube tutorials I'd watched over coffee months earlier.
The kicker? I stumbled across better content completely free online. Their supposedly “advanced insider knowledge“ on ChatGPT prompt engineering was actually less detailed than OpenAI's own documentation. The case studies lacked meat - no solid metrics, no concrete strategies I could actually implement. One afternoon, I found myself comparing their SEO training with free stuff from Ahrefs and Moz, and realized the free resources were not only more thorough but included the latest 2025 algorithm updates that the paid course didn't even mention.
Twenty thousand dollars. That's what I paid for this. What made it worse was the ghost town of support afterward. Those “daily coaching calls“ they'd promised? Between April 25 and June 18, only 8 actually happened out of 38 scheduled. The rest were canceled last-minute, usually just an hour before, with no explanation. The few calls that did occur felt rushed and shallow. I could tell the hosts hadn't prepared - they were just going through the motions.
Their Discord community was another letdown. They'd painted a picture of this bustling, supportive group, but my experience was quite different. I posted specific technical questions about client AI implementation on May 3, May 12, and again on June 7. Complete silence. I even directly tagged Wyatt and Carson - nothing. Looking at the member profiles and interaction patterns, I began questioning how much of the community engagement was even genuine.
Between June and the end of September, I sent a dozen emails asking for help implementing the material. My inbox remained empty. After exhausting all their promised support channels without success, I contacted their payment processor about a refund in October 2025. That's when I learned they'd been suspended from the platform due to a pattern of customer complaints that mirrored my own experience.
