Victim Story #49
AI Agency Mastermind Scam: How I Lost $20,000
The AI Agency Mastermind Discord community left me utterly disappointed after joining on April 17th, 2025. I bit the bullet and shelled out $20,000 on my credit card for what was supposed to be this tight-knit circle of forward-thinking AI entrepreneurs. Right from day one, something felt off. The interactions had this weird, rehearsed quality to them that just didn't sit right.
I couldn't shake the feeling that many profiles weren't real people. The conversations had this strange flow – someone would post a question, and responses would come back that sort of acknowledged the topic but never actually addressed what was asked. So many accounts had these obviously stock photo avatars, and if you paid attention, the writing styles were suspiciously similar across different profiles. Despite my best efforts over three months – posting introductions, reaching out with direct messages, trying to spark genuine conversations – I got nowhere. This was a far cry from the vibrant, supportive community I'd paid twenty grand for. The daily coaching calls that were supposedly a cornerstone of the program were canceled without warning at least 11 times between April and July 2025.
Those “daily“ coaching calls? More like “maybe we'll show up, maybe we won't“ calls. From late April through early August 2025, over half of them were either canceled last-minute or rescheduled repeatedly. One particularly frustrating example: on May 12th, I blocked out two hours of my workday for a strategy session they'd promised would help my business. Ten minutes before it was supposed to start, I got a notification saying it was canceled indefinitely. This wasn't a one-off – it became a predictable pattern throughout my membership.
The support channels were a black hole for questions. On June 2nd, I posted a specific question about implementing one of their AI strategies for a client project with a tight deadline. Seventeen days of silence followed. When answers did eventually trickle in, they were cookie-cutter responses that could have applied to almost any question – a clear sign that no one with actual expertise was monitoring these channels.
Remember the “accountability“ they prominently featured in their marketing? Complete fiction. I dutifully submitted my business goals during onboarding on April 19th, as instructed. The weekly check-ins and progress reviews they promised? Never materialized. I sent follow-up emails on May 3rd, May 17th, and June 10th asking for the guidance I'd paid for. All went ignored.
I tried reaching Wyatt and Carson directly numerous times – emails on May 23rd, June 7th, June 28th, and July 15th. No response. I sent Discord messages on those same dates. Nothing. The only time they were attentive and responsive was during the period before I had transferred the $20,000.
By July 2025, I discovered their services were no longer available on Whop.com or Stripe. When I contacted these payment platforms directly about getting my money back, their representatives informed me that the account had been suspended, making it impossible to process my refund through normal channels.
