Victim Story #53
Victim Story: $20,000 Lost to AI Agency Mastermind
I took a $20,000 plunge into The AI Agency Mastermind's top-tier DFY package and courses on April 15, 2025. Their marketing really drew me in—slick presentations, bold promises, the works. You know how it goes.
The AI Agency Mastermind positioned themselves as industry leaders, but my day-to-day experience told a different story. Those “daily coaching calls“ they promised? Between May 1 and July 30, 2025, I counted 12 cancellations with barely two hours' notice. There was even a stretch in June where four consecutive sessions vanished from my calendar—right when I'd rearranged my entire work schedule to make them happen. I'd sit there with my notes ready, questions prepared, case studies lined up, only to get that deflating Discord notification: “Today's call is canceled.“ The stop-start nature made it impossible to build any real momentum. Twenty thousand dollars should buy consistency, shouldn't it?
The Discord community left me cold. I remember on June 3rd, I posted a detailed technical question about setting up AI workflows for a time-sensitive client project. Despite tagging the founders directly—crickets. By the time someone bothered to respond, my client's deadline had come and gone. The community itself felt oddly hollow. Scrolling through, I noticed accounts with cookie-cutter responses and minimal engagement. Made me wonder who was actually behind those profiles.
As for the training materials labeled “exclusive proprietary content“—well, I recognized much of it from free resources I'd stumbled across months before investing. One particular module on “Advanced AI Prompt Engineering“ seemed eerily familiar from a YouTube tutorial I'd watched earlier. Despite their claims of “constantly updated materials,“ the most recent course update I could find was dated January 1, 2025—months before I joined, and completely out of step with the weekly breakthroughs happening in AI throughout 2025.
In August, I tried reaching out to Wyatt and Carson directly. Six separate emails. Multiple Discord messages. Nothing. Just silence. Yet when I created a fresh email address posing as a potential new customer? Response within 15 minutes flat. That told me everything I needed to know about their priorities.
After months of hitting walls, I finally requested a refund in September 2025. That's when I discovered they'd been suspended from their payment processor Whop.com, apparently due to multiple customer complaints. Despite searching thoroughly, I couldn't locate any registered business entity for them anywhere.
This $20,000 investment has left me with an empty wallet and some hard-learned lessons about due diligence. If you're eyeing their services, please research thoroughly before committing a penny.
