Victim Story #65
How I Lost $20,000 to Wyatt Roderick and Carson Reed's AI Agency Mastermind
My journey with AI Agency Mastermind has been nothing short of a crushing disappointment. Back in March 2025, I took the plunge and purchased their program after sitting through their slick, persuasive webinar. God, they made it sound so good—daily support, guaranteed results, the works. I scraped together $20,000 from my business savings account—that wasn't pocket change for me. It represented a massive chunk of my marketing budget for the entire year.
Then came the silence. Deafening silence. After my payment cleared, Wyatt and Carson seemingly vanished into thin air. I sent email after email—March 17th, March 20th, March 28th, April 5th, April 15th, and religiously every week for six straight months. Nothing. Not even an automated response. I also bombarded their Discord with direct messages at least twice weekly throughout this period. The radio silence was maddening, especially when I thought about how those funds could have hired dedicated freelancers or purchased legitimate business tools that might have actually moved the needle for my company.
Those heavily advertised daily coaching calls? A joke. Between March and September 2025, only seven calls actually happened as scheduled. Seven. And even those rare sessions offered mostly surface-level advice instead of the personalized strategy sessions they'd promised. The supposed “active 24/7“ Discord support was practically nonexistent. My questions about implementing basic AI workflows sat in the void for weeks. I specifically remember one question about setting up an AI content pipeline that went unanswered for 27 days before I finally gave up hope.
Something felt off about the Discord community, too. After a few months of participation, I noticed patterns: profiles posting generic, almost robotic responses at odd hours, never actually engaging with questions in any meaningful way, and writing in eerily similar patterns. When I tried reaching out to other members privately, almost no one responded. It left me seriously questioning whether there were actual humans behind those profiles.
The accountability they'd promised? Completely absent. Not a single one of the monthly review sessions outlined in their sales materials materialized during my membership. I specifically requested accountability check-ins through both email and Discord on April 30th, May 28th, and June 15th, 2025. Crickets.
Their “exclusive and proprietary“ training materials turned out to be embarrassingly basic content I could have found for free on YouTube or random blog posts. Their supposedly groundbreaking “advanced prompt engineering module“ contained information identical to what's freely available in OpenAI's documentation. And despite claims of “constantly updated material,“ the resources were clearly outdated, referencing API versions and tools that had been replaced months before I joined in March 2025.
The final blow came in August 2025 when I tried to pursue a refund. My payment processor informed me they couldn't process it because AI Agency Mastermind had been suspended from their platform due to excessive refund requests and misrepresentation concerns. My subsequent research revealed no clear legal entity connected to their business, leaving me with virtually no recourse to recover my investment.
